DAY 1 - SESSION 1:

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND FIRST-IN STRATEGY

Before diving into the more advanced material, we’ll do a quick review of essential concepts to make sure we’re all on the same page about the fundamentals of the LearnWPT game plan.

This is your chance to brush up on any aspects of the foundation of the LearnWPT strategy before adding the more advanced components we’ll cover during the rest of the weekend. DAY 1 - SESSION 2:

ADVANCED PREFLOP CALLING

It can be hard enough to learn how to call profitably with Speculative Hands using the 5% rule, but there are other situations in which calling can become a viable play. Learn when you can “violate” these rules using these specific tactics:

  • Speculative Preflop Calling
  • Heads Up Calling
  • Raw Equity and Pot Odds
  • Realizing Equity
  • Button Defense
  • Big Blind Defense
  • 3-Bet Defense
  • Relative Hand Strength

One of the most common leaks amateurs struggle with is calling too frequently, without a real plan to win the hand. This session will teach you to incorporate more calling into your game, balanced with aggression, to become a more fearsome opponent.

DAY 1 - SESSION 3:

LINEAR, POLARIZED, AND MIXED 3-BETTING

Knowing how and when to 3-Bet is one of the best ways to get ahold of chips in a tournament. Here we’ll show you how to use Linear and Polarized 3-Betting Ranges to gain advantages on your opponents including: 

  • Constructing Polarized Preflop 3-Betting Ranges
  • Polarized Preflop Decision Tree
  • Mixed Strategies
  • Randomizing your Play
  • Adjusting to Real World Opponents - Picking Strategies
  • Detailed Positional Hand Range Charts

Your toughest opponents will often give you the most trouble Preflop. Here you’ll learn a specific course of action to profitably combat your opponent and become the player who gives everyone else trouble.

DAY 1 - SESSION 4:

THINKING IN HAND RANGES

So you know what a hand range is? Congratulations. So do all the competent players you’ll face at the table. Here we show you how to use hand ranges Like a Pro to separate yourself from the rest of the pack.

  • Your Perceived Ranges
  • Capped and Uncapped Ranges
  • Range Drilling
  • Range vs Range Equity
  • Range Gap and Fold Equity

Take your knowledge of hand ranges to the next level by learning to use the “range game” to make winning decisions.

DAY 1 - SESSION 5:
5:15PM - 6:00PM

QUESTIONS... MEET ANSWERS

Now is your chance to clarify the Preflop game plan you just learned. The key to growth in No-Limit Hold’em is to never stop learning. Start your cycle of constant improvement during this session and ask questions while also listening to the questions from fellow students.

DAY 2 - SESSION 1:

ADVANCED POSTFLOP PLAY

Postflop play is full of opportunities to exert your skill edge against your opponents. Discover the process our instructors use to think through a hand postflop to decide which moves make the most sense.

Average opponents make the majority of their mistakes Postflop. After this session you’ll learn how to make sure you’re anything BUT average after the Flop.

DAY 2 - SESSION 2:

THE FINAL TABLE

While your opponents nerves are kicking in, arrive at the Final Table like you’ve been there before. We’ll make sure you’re ready to “close the deal” when you’re playing for the real prize pool.

  • Deal Making

Don't wait until your first final table to learn how to handle pay jumps, deals, or heads up play. The Pros are prepared for the End Game. Make sure you are too.

DAY 2 - SESSION 3:

ADVANCED INTERACTIVE DECISION POINTS

It’s time to test your knowledge and reinforce the new pieces of your game plan. We’ll go through a series of simulation hands specifically designed to focus on the new concepts you learned.

  • Challenging scenarios with short response times to simulate real game play
  • Diagnose issues in your preflop and postflop game and get corrections in real-time
  • In-depth feedback from the Pros, each sharing their unique approach
  • Creating a winning practice habit by focusing on decision, not results

During this session you’ll get to use your new perspective to make decisions under pressure. The LearnWPT Pros will provide feedback on your thought process and guide you in recognizing the key factors essential to enhancing your game.

DAY 2 - SESSION 4:

This Workshop is designed for students who are ready to add more dimensions to their game. This event is not intended for total beginners or brand new players. The ideal student has already spent some time working to improve their poker game.

However, if you’re concerned that this event might be too advanced for you, don’t worry!

We will be providing ALL attendees of LearnWPT Live at Borgata with special access to 8 essential Strategy Episodes. These Strategy Episodes will provide a Strategic Foundation for all Students, ensuring they are able to keep up. We’ll review these concepts during class and you’ll be able to ask questions about anything you’re unclear about.
