A10 short stacked against min rasie and caller; pot odds right to go all in now?

After the mp1 went all in; mp2 folded; but showed 99; mp1 had ak; and it held up; but the question is because of all the chips in that pot is the A10 short stack best play all in; or should he wait until he might have fold equity on another hand without action, even if it might not be as strong as A10?  (had to know that either player or both will call his short stack); 30 players left day 2; (I watched this hand; wasnt playing) Thanks, Tim
