do you bet this turn? Do you call his overbet?

Hi. Online; no real information on opponent. If I was shorter stacked, I think I continue with a solid turn bet; but having 100 bb; thought it would be better to check and see what he does; then I checked the river and allowed him to overbet; pretty sure I played it wrong with the turn; then having messed up I would have callled a smaller river bet; but thought it best to just give him the chips with the overbet; please advise; thanks, Tim
