Flatted the BB on a SB 3 Bet and then folded the flop on an all-in over bet

I have A-Q suited in BB and button makes small raise and SB make 4x re-raise on button and I flat with my Hand.  After the hand was over i think  i should of 4 betting this spot?  Is that correct or flat ok.  looking back it is way over 5% of Effective stack.  this opponent plays a wide range of hands so hard to figure if he has it or not(tricky).  I called to make a play on the flop.

He bets his whole stack about 2 1/4 over the pot and i fold thinking i may be beat.  Bad fold?
