Having a little bit of a problem with limpers/calling limpers who then call a big raise.
Im AA on the BB , limpers on UTG and a calling limper MP - I raise to 2x current POT at the time, initial limper folds, but MP limper calls!
By definition I would put a caller on a spec hand, but then what adjustments should I make to his expected range once he calls such a big raise? I struggle because im getting sometime players make this call with a small pair(33, 44, 55), then when they hit a set on the flop im completely lost with my AA.
My guess would be there is nothing I can do until the flopcomes and if im Cbetting, i would see his behavior. It can become a real problem on dry boards like 3 6 Q for example, unless he reraises I could easiily be in for a big loss if he decides to slow play me. A reraise would definetely help me put him on a narrower range.
There is also a variation of this - holding KK and reraising limpers who then call my big raise - say one calls - and the flop has an A. Been in situations where the limper holds some ragged A and also where he shows QQ( although i would assume QQ to make raise).
Kills me - any pointers on when / why to fold KK against a limper/caller preflop - and eventually shover post flop?
Help please
