Raise size post flop?

  • Jonkey (San Diego)

I'm playing in a local tourney, we all started with about 40k. Tourney only started with 16 players. We lost two players, so we’re playing 7-handed.

H: 9h7h S: 42k B:200/400 50 P: HJ

LJ (35k) Limped, I limped. BB (45k) checked. Pot 1,750

F: Qd Th 7d

BB checked. LJ bet 800. I called (without the backdoor draw, I might have folded), BB called. Pot 4,150

T: Qd Th 7d (7c)

BB bet 2k. LJ called. Since it was a limped pot, I can’t see anyone with QQ or TT, so I basically have the nuts. I decided to raise, since I figured one of them probably had a flush draw or maybe a straight draw. How much should we raise to? For example, if I raised to 8k, then BB has to call 6k to win 16,150, so he’d need 27% equity to call. Or would you raise even bigger, say 10k?
