Should I be calling a shove early in a slow tournament with opportunity cost

  • 111Jackhammr318 (Westside, CA)

WSOP ME

Level 3

200/400/50

Folds to MP2 who moves all in for 5750

Hero in MP3 with 99 and 38k at start of hand

Hero opts to call with deeper stacks behind in CO and Button who are aggressive

Folds to BB whos insta moves all in for 20750

BB hasn't gotten too out of line, but could be a little aggro tilty since he has had bad variance...

I place BB on range of AQs+, AK, 88+, maybe some weaker suited aces 50% (ATs-AJs)

Hero is getting good odds, 3 x 5750 + 650 + 15000 = 34900 in pot...15000 to call...that's 2.3 to 1 to call...

Opportunity cost?

If Hero wins Hero will have 32250+34900 or 67150...at 200/400 a good stack

If Hero loses Hero will have 17250 at 200/400 or 43bb...

With this slow structure, I lean towards a fold...
