Interesting MPvsBB spot against a looser, aggressive, but competent villain
Villain has showed up at this table and played a looser, aggressive, big bet style of poker. Not necessarily bad, just exploitatively attacking the passive table dynamics by 3betting wider ranges, and attacking with floats post flop.
Villain RFIs with a larger than usual, but fairly consistent open from MP.
I defend in the BB
Questions:
1) Flop: check raise vs check call. I think against a smaller c-bet, this would be a x/r at some frequency. But against the larger sizing, and a player that is aggressive, I think a bluff catching line is the most eV play. I call. Your thoughts?
2) Turn: I turn 2pair on a draw heavy board, but I don't know if my range wants to bet here. I would guess that if I do bet, its a larger sizing to protect my more vulnerable stronger holdings, like my combo, and some of my weaker draws that block villain's continuing range. I check to get value on the river or bluff catch depending on the run out.
3) River: This isn't a great card, but I think this may be best to set the price with a value bet...and a bet/fold to a jam. I decide to bet about 1/2 pot to target his Jx and pocket pairs that may look me up here, and be able to fold to a jam. Not sure about this spot. Will run in PIO as well.
Thanks
