This is an example hand that I would like to get your take on.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed)
MP1 ($5)
MP2 ($5.14)
CO ($7.90)
Hero (Button) ($5.50)
SB ($5.46)
BB ($5)
UTG ($6.13)
UTG+1 ($9.37)
Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.15, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $0.46, 1 fold, Hero ???
No opponent reads...
According to the pre-flop criteria, I must re-raise or fold as .46 represents over 5% of effective stacks (roughly 9%) and the pot is not multi-way - so calling is off the table.
I put MP2 on a range of AQ+, TT+, in which case QQ has equity of 55%. However if I re-raise, he is probably only calling with KK+,AK in which case QQ has about 40% equity.
What is your thought process in this situation?
