Turning Nut Staight with Backdoor Flush on Board - call in position or raise?

  • Gil T (Kingston, NY)

Here I called preflop using the calling criteria and flopped an open ended straight draw.  I called a bet using pot odds and odds of hitting the straight with a positive EV.  I turned the nut straight but there are now 2 hearts on board with multiple players.  I got bet into with a caller in between of 60 and I raised to 200 to take the pot down.  I am still wondering if I should have slow played and let the aggressor continue to bet and then raise on the river to get an extra bet in.  I was also in position with multiple opponents which makes it somewhat favorable to slow play.  But now the board is coordinated and has a flush draw so maybe raising now makes sense.  Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks so much. Gil
