I play a lot of one table sit and go's. Normally, I get 1500 chips and blinds start at 10/20 with antes. So this means I can really only call a 3 BB raise at the 1st level. Once the blinds go up to 15/30, then calling a 3 BB raise violates the 5% rule (with starting stack sizes).
So what happens more often than not is that when I don't pick up a playable hand for the first few levels, I just end up re-shoving all in when I am between 10-20 BB or shoving once I hit 10 BB.
I have noticed that I am one of the more aggressive players at the table in terms of shoving with about 10 BB. Most other players will let their stacks dwindle and will even min-raise with 6-10 BB.
If you were playing in these sorts of games are there any adjustments you would make to the default strategy?
I should just say that I have been a LearnWPT member since last July and I think that my game has improved substantially by following your strategies. I've looked at some other poker instruction sites and this one compares favorably to others I have looked at. You guys really present a theoretically sound game plan that I think will hold up as I attempt to move up in stakes.
Thanks!
