CHAMPIONSHIP PREFLOP PLAY

Preflop mistakes may appear small in the moment, however they are most often the cause of losing critical pots. Your Instructors will provide the tools to counter aggressive preflop tournament players with precision using GTO based ranges. Detailed ranges based on key stack sizes from each position are included in your Manual.

You'll learn strategies such as:

Winning uncontested pots preflop is a vital tool for successful tournament players. These strategies give you new creative ways to gain chips and put pressure on your opponents. During the Lab Session your Instructors will help you put these concepts into play in real-time.

 

ADVANCED POSTFLOP PLAY

Understanding key factors that influence proper betting lines, sizing, and how often you should be betting postflop is essential to advanced play. Elite Tournament players weigh these factors on a continuum to consistently make better decisions. Situational response charts for key scenarios including blind defense, button defense, and 3-bet pots, are included in your Manual.

Elite tournament poker players place a premium on maintaining the correct mindset that creates the optimal conditions for peak performance. They approach tournament poker through a process of continuous improvement that allows clear strategic thinking even in the most high pressure situations, focused and clear to note the key inflection points and make specific adjustments for each stage from preflop through heads up play.

Explore the strategies that will keep your opponents on edge and put tough players to challenging decisions postflop during the Interactive Lab Session.

BUBBLE PLAY STRATEGY

The difference between limping into the money and arriving at the final table with a stack that can compete for the title is often determined by your skill and strategy on the bubble. You’ll learn how to adjust your hand ranges and put pressure on the right opponents on the bubble to maintain and grow your stack for a deep run.  

You'll learn strategies such as:

  • Bubble Play
  • Independent Chip Model (ICM)
  • Identifying Bubble Situations
  • Monitoring Stacks and Other Tables
  • Maximizing Fold Equity
  • Identifying Players to Target
  • Playing the Bubble Depending on Your Stack Size


Understanding when to deviate from default strategy can make the difference between a min-cash and a final table. This highly interactive session will focus you on the subtle differences that are obvious signals advanced players use to crush tournaments.

FINAL TABLE PLAY

When the majority of the prize pool and the prestige of winning a title is on the line, you need a specific game plan for the unique situations of Final Table Play to emerge as the champion. In this session we’ll provide a framework for Final Table and Heads Up play including detailed GTO based hand range charts.

You'll learn strategies such as:

  • Analyzing Pay Jumps and Structures
  • Maximizing Fold Equity as Chipleader
  • Adjusting First-In Ranges for ICM
  • Laddering vs Chip Accumulation
  • Essentials of Heads-Up Play

Practicing these advanced Final Table strategies will give you the confidence and piece of mind to play for the win when it matters the most. 

Q&A AND WRAP-UP

The key to growth in No-Limit Hold’em is to never stop learning. Start your cycle of constant improvement during this session and ask questions while also listening to the questions from fellow students.

Andrew "LuckyChewy" Lichtenberger

Andrew "LuckyChewy"  Lichtenberger's introspective and analytical approach to poker strategy makes him among one of the most feared and inspiring players in the game today. 

Prior to becoming a household name, LuckyChewy played successfully online before bursting onto the live tournament circuit making headlines in 2009 when he finished 13th in the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship event.

Eric “Rizen” Lynch

Known in cyberspace as “Rizen”, Eric’s internet poker career took off when he won the PokerStars Million Dollar Guaranteed Tournament in May 2006 and took the prestigious Tournament LeaderBoard award for that month.

Eric has made over 300 Final Tables in high profile events, including 5 WSOP tournaments featuring a 3rd place finish in a Pot Limit WSOP Event in 2006. He also excels at the cash game tables, having logged thousands of profitable hours both live and online.

Eric is one of the pioneers in hand analysis and is the author of Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time, Vols. I, II, and III, considered the most comprehensive collection of expert hand analysis in print.

He has had the privilege of helping hundreds of students from all skill levels grow into successful players during the past 12 years teaching alongside Nick Binger and Andrew Lichtenberger for the World Poker Tour.

Ask any of his students what separates Eric from other poker instructors and they’ll say it is his ability to make the game more understandable for all players.

Tony Dunst

One of the original online poker professionals who helped usher in the poker boom, Tony Dunst joined the World Poker Tour as host of the WPT Raw Deal segment and spent seven seasons analyzing some of the most pivotal hands from World Poker Tour events. When Mike Sexton retired from the WPT commentary booth, it was only natural for Tony to be promoted into the role starting with Season XVI.

Tony was able to etch his name on the WPT Champions Cup, winning WPT Caribbean and in 2016 added another marquee title to his poker resume when he won a WSOP gold bracelet. Tony won his second WSOP bracelet in 2020 and his first WSOP Circuit Ring in 2021 adding to his long list of accomplishments.

In addition to being widely recognized for his prowess as an expert poker player and commentator, he has written articles on dozens of topics both within and outside of poker.

Tony quickly developed a loyal following of fans, who are often rewarded with his well-informed and lightning-quick takes via his social media platforms and during WPT broadcasts.
