DECISION POINT: In a $1/$2 Cash Game it folds to a highly aggressive player who opens for their standard raise of $35. It folds to you with A♠K♥ on the Button. You reraise to $100, the Villain calls and then leads into you on the flop. What do you do?

PRO ANSWER: Given the known aggressiveness of our opponent, they could have anything from strong hands, one pair hands or a complete bluff.

Once we see a flop with a SPR (stack to pot ratio) of 1, we cannot simply give up when this type of opponent bets into us.

If our opponent is aggressive enough to play any two cards here, we are actually a favorite against their range. Even though our opponent is aggressive, they are almost certainly not so aggressive that they have any two cards.

If we narrow their range to strong hands, 1 pair hands, ace high hands, and straight draws (both gut shot and open ended), then we have around 35% equity against their range.

Given the amount of money in the pot we only need around 33% equity to be break even after getting it all-in here.

In addition, we could generate some small amount of fold equity with our raise. Even though we may not always be ahead, this is a favorable situation for us.

Raising all-in is the best play.
