LearnWPT Discord Hints & Tips

We are making it easier for Students to interact with each other and talk strategy with the Pros on the brand-new LearnWPT Discord!

The LearnWPT Discord server will now be the place to ask questions and share your hands for analysis by Team LearnWPT. Simply select the #ask-a-pro channel to send in your questions or visit the channel specific to your Live Event or Course.

Getting Started - Joining Discord

To get started login to your LearnWPT.com account. Click ASK A PRO in the navigation bar (or via the mobile menu) or the "Connect your Discord account" link from your Personalized Dashboard.

You'll be prompted to create a Discord account to access the LearnWPT private channels. If you already have a Discord account, accept the invitation to join the private LearnWPT Discord server by logging into your current Discord account.

Create your Discord account via browser or download the app. Join with your phone number or email address and save a password.

💡 TIP: You don't need to join Discord with the email address and password associated with your LearnWPT account

Personalize Your Profile

Change your Discord display name, username, password, or upload an avatar by clicking the gear icon next to your name.

💡 TIP: Under APP SETTINGS change the appearance, when you want to be notified, and more for a personalized experience!

Chat All Things Poker

Now it's time to chat with fellow Members to create a true poker community and ask your Team of Instructors questions.

The #ask-a-pro channel will replace the Ask a Pro forums making it easier for you to connect and ask questions. Type your question in the message bar to get started. To ask questions regarding a Live Event or Course find the corresponding channel and post your message.

Discord - your posted questions

The LearnWPT Discord features a modern chat-style interface that allows for replies to specific posts via Threads or Forum posts.

Threads and Forum posts allow for all replies to be nested beneath the original post and helps keep the conversation orderly, especially when discussing poker strategy. The Team LearnWPT will respond to your question using Threads or Forum posts, so make sure you click your original post to see the response. We strongly encourage you to use Threads or Forum Posts to reply whenever possible.

💡 TIP: Questions you post will be listed under the channel you posted in for easy access!

To post a reply to a Forum Post:

Click the Forum Post you want to reply to
Type your question, reply, or comment
Your comment will be posted beneath the original post

To start a new reply as a thread:

Click the menu at the right of the post you want to reply to
Select Create Thread from the main menu
Your reply will then be posted in Thread beneath the original post

Posting HIT Hands for Review

Have a hand you want feedback on? Send it to Team LearnWPT in the #ask-a-pro channel by following these easy steps:

Create a hand you played using the Hand Input Tool (HIT)
After replaying the hand click the ASK A PRO button
You’ll automatically be directed to the #ask-a-pro Discord channel and your HIT hand immediately posted
Type your question to Team LearnWPT about the hand

Ask a Pro Community Forums

Previous posts from the LearnWPT forums can still be accessed for reference by clicking the Forums link from bottom footer when logged in to your Membership. The ability to reply to previous posts in the LearnWPT Forums has been disabled.
